Animal Welfare Officer Competency Certification
Over three days in January 2024 the Partnership and Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) delivered Exporter Supply Chain Assurance System [ESCAS] Competency Certification for 17 Animal Welfare Officers (AWOs) from Java and Sumatra. All 17 AWOs passed the certification process which strengthened their capacity to assess and oversee implementation of animal welfare principles and practices in the Indonesian red meat and cattle sector.
